Oolong tea is one of the most varied teas. As a semi-fermented tea, it offers a wide range of different strengths and flavor colorations, which of course can also be influenced by the growing region and weather conditions. Despite its mild character, Formosa Oolong belongs to the rather stronger Oolong varieties.
It can withstand 100°C hot water and should rather be used more generously to bring out its characteristic, full-bodied taste.
By the way, did you know that the name Formosa is Portuguese for "beautiful"? Formosa is present-day Taiwan, but was so named by the Portuguese when they discovered the island. An apt term, both for Taiwan and for our delicious tea.
Ingredients: oolong tea from Taiwan.
