Chai is generally referred to as a spice mixture of ginger, pepper, cloves, licorice and cassia cinnamon. It originated in India and is believed to have its origins in Ayurvedic teachings. In the country of origin, chai is drunk with black tea as a base and with plenty of milk.
We have taken the liberty of completely omitting the black tea for this herbal infusion. The aromatic blend of spices is enriched with anise and fennel to give it a sweeter, rounder flavor. The result is an exciting, full-bodied taste experience.
