In Japan, green tea is virtually the national drink. The Japanese are known for their high consumption of green tea and also for the quality of their self-produced green teas.
Although there are many different varieties, in Japan, tea is often divided into Bancha and Sencha. Bancha is a somewhat milder green tea that also contains less caffeine and is often drunk in the afternoon or evening.
Sencha, on the other hand, is stronger and more aromatic in flavor and has comparatively high caffeine.
This is because only the first harvest is processed for Sencha tea. The young tea plants need the caffeine for their growth so they have correspondingly more of it available at the beginning of the annual cycle.
We have for you a full-bodied, aromatic Sencha in our assortment, whose round taste already ensures a good mood in the morning and provides you with energy throughout the day.
Ingredients: green tea from Japan.
