Not only the growing area and the type of tea plant used are responsible for the quality of a tea, but also the harvest time. Thus, between the first harvest (in English first flush) which usually takes place in mid-March to early April, and the second harvest in June, there is the so-called inbetween.
Inbetween, then, is the term used to describe an intermediate harvest. However, this is mainly applied to Darjeeling teas. Our Darjeeling Seeyok Inbetween FTGFOP1 is harvested in the spring, when there is increased rainfall in the area. As a result, the tea grows faster, making it slightly lighter and milder in flavor than tea from the main harvest seasons.
While Inbetween is commonly used for tea blends, we don't want to deprive you of its mild floral aroma. This tea comes from certified organic cultivation. In addition, the FTGFOP1 designation stands for one of the highest leaf grades. Only the finest buds and youngest leaves are processed here.
Ingredients from controlled organic cultivation: black tea from India.
