Most tea drinkers are familiar with fennel-anise-caraway as a tea. But anise tea is also a real treat on its own. The slight sweetness, which is somewhat reminiscent of licorice, gives the tea a very special taste. If you like it even sweeter, simply mix in a few teaspoons of honey.
Incidentally, anise is consumed much more frequently than is generally thought. Especially in cooking or baking anise is often used. Anise is also a component of many Christmas treats and there are several high-proof drinks such as raki or ouzo, which are made from anise. Apart from that, anise is also healthy and gentle on the stomach, which is why a hot cup of anise tea is wonderful for flatulence or bloating.
Our anise comes from controlled organic cultivation and can be used both as a tea and for seasoning food.
